Evening of Extravagance

Next week is that love-it-or-hate-it day meant to celebrate love. I've spent PLENTY of V-Days single, and I remember feeling a little left out at the time (one time so much that I went and bought myself a Coach bag for company). So I say, if you are solo on the 14th go out with friends or treat yourself to something special! I've designed this outfit to be appropriate for a romantic date or a fun girls' night out. The bag ensures you'll have a well-behaved man on your arm no matter who you're with!

Boo-ti-ful Things

It's almost Halloween! I wish I had more spirit in me to get costumed out this year, but the summer and fall have been so busy that I didn't have the energy to focus on dressing up. I'll have to live vicariously through others and check out the festivities on Facebook and blogs.

Friday's Fancies this week was all about creating a Halloween outfit. I chose to go with mostly grey and a pop of orange. Continuing with my skull obsession of late - check out the cute studs!

Sharpen the Pencils

It's Friday! I don't know about you, but all the fall clothes in stores and on-line are making me wish I had a good excuse to go shopping.

There are many perks to being a grown up (cars, legal wine drinking, and no homework) but something about almost-September gives me an ache for back-to-class... but only for the first day, to see how cute your crush got over the summer and to scope out what everyone is wearing.

Coachella Kicks

Every year I have a love-hate relationship with Coachella - I love the idea of being there and then hate myself for not going.

I can list so many reasons I should be there this year:
1) Such a great excuse for buying a really cute outfit
2) One of my dearest friends is a complete pro at Coachella and would be the best person to go with
3) My favorite band in the entire universe (including all those indie bands on Uranus) is headlining. Red Hot Chili Peppers.
4) I need a vacation (ok, Jamaica is a month away, but I'd like one now too)

So instead of actually going, I've created an outfit board, which was practically as fun (um, no).

If this board looks a little crazy, it's because I started off with a nautical-themed outfit, changed my mind to festival wear, and then was too lazy to switch the jewelry. There are starfish in the desert, right?

Edged with Lace

It has taken me a ridiculous amount of time to do a collage post. I've been looking at other bloggers' collages with envy and finally decided it was time to set aside an hour and figure out Polyvore.*

*In all honesty, I had to do a collage because I ended up hating the photos I took of my own outfit to link up with longdistanceloving for a post on lace. I'm still blaming my recent photo hate on the weather here (especially the dirty snowbanks).

Typical me couldn't go all girly with the lace theme, but the pink clutch and watch added a bit of feminine touch, and I'm in love with the adorable bow earrings. Not sure what's up with the creepy bunny in the corner (she came with the template and will probably re-appear in my dreams tonight).
