Let's Make A Deal

Dear Nova Scotia,

Let's make a deal, ok? You melt your dirty brown snow banks and give me some warm weather, and I'll quit boring my blog readers with indoor photos.

It's so hard to see all the amazing spring clothes in stores now and know that it will be months before I can wear them without looking insane and freezing my buns off. Why do they tempt us?

Details
Sweater: Gap (Halifax)
Jeans: Guess (Moments, Truro)
Scarf: Aerie (Dartmouth)
Boots: Call it Spring (Halifax)
Bracelet and earrings: Gifts

Confession: I bought this scarf last fall, intending to give it to someone for Christmas. Then I forgot and bought them something else. I found it in January in a bag in my closet. Win for me.

Has that ever happened to you? What did you end up keeping?

I skipped my writing prompt last week (oops). Here's the answer to Plinky's question:

A genie has granted your wish to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What's it like?

My writing desk would be very tidy. It would be black and there would be colourful bulletin boards on the walls behind it. I’d have fresh flowers on the desk and a really comfortable chair. The genie would make sure I had a fresh chai latte next to me at all times (non-fat). My desk would face the wall as I find I write better when I feel a little physically confined.

The reading area would be in another corner of the room. It would have a large cushy armchair in black and white damask with a hot pink footstool. There would be a cozy throw on the chair and a candle close by. I’d have a big floor to ceiling bookcase and signed copies of all my favourite novels. The genie would sit on the footstool and massage my feet while I read novels and fashion magazines.

I love your letter to Nova Scotia, hopefully it gets better. Your outfit is perfect and I really like your desk description too, and fresh flowers are always a nice touch
