Reading
The Woman in Cabin 10 - Ruth Ware
Suspense books have been on high rotation with me lately. This was another good one with lots of twists.
Milk and Honey - Rupi Kaur
It's been a very long time since I've read any poetry collections. This was very deep and very good. I couldn't relate to some parts of its but I could still very much appreciate the emotions and her talent for writing.
The Invention of Wings - Sue Monk Kidd
I'd read
The Secret Life Of Bees a long time who ago and I wish I'd read this book sooner. It was a great story spanning several decades, about the life two little girls, one a slave.
Clicking
I've not had any luck with online clothing shopping this month. I returned an order to Zara and will be returning an Old Navy order. Just a reminder to people who online shop to always check your accounts to make sure the returns are processed. I had an issue with Zara which took several weeks to iron out. Keep your tracking receipts! I placed an order last week for several skin care products from The Ordinary. They will arrive this week - super excited to test them out.
Watching
The Handmaids Tale - so disturbing but I can't stop watching. We are super behind in Greys Anatomy, so need to binge that sometime soon. Pretty Little Liars is on the final few shows... excited for it to be done actually. While I love the show, I forget so many important details so I get confused really easily. R and I watched World of Dance the other day- we liked it! I'm not feeling The Bachelorette this season but I will watch it because I always do! I just get so annoyed with the ones that are obviously there as producer picks. I'll be watching the One Love Manchester concert later today.
Eating
I caught up with several old friends this month and enjoyed meals out at The Nook and Cranny in Truro, and The Fireside and The Stubborn Goat in Halifax. There are a handful of new places that I need to try in Halifax, including Rinaldos and Chain-yard Urban Cidery.
Drinking
I'm loving Starbucks iced white tea, and am enjoying one right now as I type! I took advantage of Frapp Happy Hour in early May (s'mores is the best). The new Halifax cider from Chain-yard is great. I picked a few up at the NSLC when it first launched. I missed the cider festival as it sold out before I could decide if I was going or not. Won't make that mistake next year! I'm not doing the dollar iced teas from DAVIDsTEA this year, which I've done for the past three summers. I really didn't need the $25 tea tumbler that was required and I promised myself I'd just buy some loose leaf tea and steep it overnight to enjoy the next day instead.

Frapp Happy Hour week is the best. Look at all that caramel.. |
Seeing
I look like a fool, sitting in Starbucks with sunglasses on, but I'm by the window and the light hurts my eyes. There are a few other girls here working on stuff on their own. It turned kind of cloudy in the last few minutes.

According to my camera roll, I wear sunglasses indoors on the regular... |
Smelling
Coffee!
Hearing
Whatever playlist they have on here. I could listen to my own music but I actually work better with the ambient noise.
Wearing
Light wash jeans, tank top, TNA shirt, Chucks. Sunglasses
Feeling
I'm feeling productive today! I actually had a late start to my day as I had to take a migraine pill last night and they tend to make me groggy the next day. I slept a little later this morning because of it. Despite that, I still managed to clean the kitchen, steam mop the main level of the house, and do two loads of laundry before noon.
Anticipating
Next weekend I'm heading to Toronto! BFF gets married soon and we're doing a shower and dinner for her. It's been a really long time since I've traveled without R, which sounds so weird because I used to travel alone all the time. I'm excited to see my friends, have a night out in the city, and perhaps do a few hours of shopping before I get back on the plane Sunday evening.
XOXO
